The HORNETS MFC flying sites

We have a number of flying sites around the Island.

BEMBRIDGE POWER SITE

The club has an excellent flying site for powered models at Bembridge Airport. Situated well away from full size aircraft, a large take off patch is surrounded by forgiving long grass for those 'emergency' landings. The club owes a great debt of thanks to the support of the landowner Mr John Taylor. Our activities also conform fully to CAA demands.

Flying Times

Saturday and Sunday mornings, 10am to 1pm.
Tuesday, Thursday and Friday evenings, 6:00pm to sunset.

Directions

Member instructions: Display the model club badge in your car window. Check it is ok to fly with the tower staff and collect the radio set and first aid box. Wait until there are at least two members present before flying.
Guests/Visitors must contact the club via e-mail or telephone for instructions before coming to the site.
