D-Day Anniversary at the Isle of Wight Airport
Friday 4th June 9:00am - John Board sets out a superb patch in a great position. 6:00pm The tent goes up and the patch is mowed. A really big thank you to John who worked flat out for 3 days.
Saturday 5th June 6:45am - John Board, Guy Glover and Ben Glover set up the rest and rake the grass. Models start turning up about 8:00am
Saturday setting up. Thanks to all for the effort and work put in to both days. The whole weekend was just superb and the public loved the models especially as a good number of them were present in full size form over the weekend.
The results of too much fuel and not enough brains! Guy's MW54 catches fire during a run up in front of a large crowd. All part of the show .... Still all repaired by 1:00am ! The repaired plane ran through the Sunday show.
